intenzív / ICU

Ma reggelre sajnos megint nagyon megemelkedett a fehérvérsejtek száma, ezért az intenzív osztályra vitték Emit és ott egy leukaferézis nevű beavatkozást végeznek el rajta, amivel megtisztítják a vérét. Attól függően, hogy hogy reagál erre, lehet hogy holnap is meg kell ismételni. Anyu hál Istennek ott lehet vele, hacsak nem hoznak be egy nagyon súlyos másik beteget. Apunak is megengedik majd hogy bemenjen hozzá! Ez nagyon jó hír, mert attól volt a legjobban megijedve, hogy egyedül marad.
Nagyon megijedtünk, de a doktornő azt mondta, hogy ez a megemelkedett szám lehet attól is, hogy tisztul neki a mája és a lépe. Ez pedig egy jó dolog.

unfortunately this morning Emi's white blood cell count rose and therefore was taken to the ICU. There they will preform leukapheresis on her which will clean her blood. Depending on how she reacts to this it might be necessary to repeat this procedure on her tomorrow. Mom is able to be with her as long as they don't need to bring any other serious ill children into the ICU. The doctors are allowing Dad to go in too! This is very good news, because the thing Emi was scared of the most was being alone.
we were really shocked by this but the doctor said that the rise in her white blood cell count could be from her liver and spleen being cleansed. This is a good thing.
