shock

yesterday we were struck with the news that Odi's little sister Emili has leukemia. Emili is 11.

we are at a loss for words for how we feel right now.

she was brought to Szeged by ambulance for treatment as the children's clinic here in Szeged is one of the best.

today we found out that she has a very bad kind of leukemia  (because of everything that's going on Odi's parents don't remember what form of leukemia it is).

they have started chemotherapy, which will last for a little over a month. then they will reevaluate her situation.

right now it's looking like she'll be in the hospital for at least 6 months.

we'd like to ask all of you to join us in praying for complete healing for Emi and strength for the family as a long, hard road awaits.

    Psalm 94:17-19
Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

  3. Calvary Chapel Lyon wishes to thank you for the privilege of joining you in prayer. Emi you are so precious to our Heavenly Father. We pray that the presence of His Spirit brings you the multiplication of peace and grace needed to persevere. Praying also for spiritual strength for both you and your family…these verses in Ephesians have often ministered to my heart:

Ephesians 3.14-21: "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
